Zamin Ferrous owns 100% of exploration licenses covering a large, low grade iron ore deposit adjacent to the town of Urandi in the south east of Bahia State, Brazil.


  • Ongoing exploration has proven a 284 Mt JORC compliant resource, with a potential resource of 700 Mt.
  • Positive mineral processing results with the ore easily being upgraded through magnetic separation, envisaging a product with Fe grade of 66.7%.
  • An 8 Mtpa concentrate is targeted to be transported via rail from a processing plant at Urandi to the port.
  • A Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) was completed in conjunction with SNC Lavalin Minerconsult in May 2010.
